Progress continues to move forward on the homes, with kitchen cabinets now being installed, siding nearly complete, and front sidewalks being poured. The project is entering the final stages, and excitement is being built as the homes begin to come together.

Planning is also underway for landscaping and a future open house where supported individuals, staff, family and friends will have the opportunity to tour the homes and meet one another. The team hopes to coordinate timing carefully, so each person feels comfortable welcoming guest into their new home. More information about the open-house date and time will be shared as plans are finalized.

A Mitchell native, Ray is excited about moving into his new home and gaining more independence. He is especially looking forward to having his own space, creating his own routine, and spending time with friends. Ray plans an exciting start to his new life.  “I’m going to play drums for my friends and host a housewarming party.”

Ray already has several friends that he plans to invite over, and some staff members he currently works with will also be part of the Microhome Village team. “My favorite staff are those who connect and understand me and my interests.”

Outside of home life, Ray enjoys going out for Mexican food, attending the Corn Palace festival and celebrating everything about Christmas.  He has proudly been part of the LifeQuest family since 2012.
