My name is Cindy Montefering and I will be one of the people living in the “My Own Front Door” Microhome Village. Our builder has started with the groundwork already, with concrete being poured.

I’m so looking forward to living there – to experiment with new decorations, hosting parties and having family over, and other things. Just having something I can call my own is so important to me!
I’m originally from Parkston and came to LifeQuest when it was actually MAATC in 1992. I’ve lived in many LifeQuest homes since then.
Today, I live at Gamble Street Apartments with others, though I have my own bedroom. I helped LifeQuest with what we needed in our renovated kitchen last year, which helped me realize that living on my own in one of these homes would be a great idea.

I love all of the staff I have, but what really is important to me is that one-on-one time with them. When the staff comes to my new house, it will be time just for me. I like to get to know about them just like they want to know about me. It helps us build a connection.
I’m excited to hosting my first event and make my favorite meal in my own home – shrimp alfredo! I’ll definitely have some of my best friends over – Norm and Carol Schoenfelder!
Thank you for helping with the homes. I am so excited, and am currently looking for boxes for the move – summer can’t come soon enough!
